Staithes is a working village wedged in a gap in the North Yorkshire coast, where the houses lean on each other out of the wind. This is the piece for that kind of morning.

Garment-washed 12oz cotton canvas, lined throughout — body, sleeves and hood — in deep high-pile fleece. A half zip, so it goes on over your head and stays on. Fixed hood with a drawcord. Two big flap pockets across the front carrying the wordmark in tonal embroidery, so it reads as texture rather than a logo.

Ribbed cuffs, elasticated hem with a drawcord, and every zip, cord and toggle in tonal charcoal. Nothing on it catches the light.

It sits at the top of the layering ladder — over the Coll, over a tee, over whatever you've already got on.
