THE HUMBER — QUILTED JACKET
Black
A Shipping Forecast sea area and the estuary on our own doorstep. Yorkshire water, working river rather than beauty spot.
The first insulated piece we've made. Everything else in the range is either an unlined shell or a fleece-lined coat — the Humber is the one with fill in it. It goes over a hoodie on a cold morning and under the Forties when it turns properly foul.
Quiet and squared off. Box-quilted body, rib bomber collar and cuffs, snap placket over a concealed zip so it doesn't draught through the gaps. Drop-in angled hand pockets, plain bound hem.
All black, all tonal, no contrast anywhere except a single grey hang loop at the back neck. It reads as a work jacket rather than a technical one, and that's the point — it should look at home on a harbour wall, on the bike and in a pub.

SIZE GUIDE
These are garment measurements, not body measurements — the jacket laid flat, in inches, measured after quilting. Cut to go over a hoodie or a heavyweight crewneck.
| Size | Chest, pit to pit | Body length | Shoulder | Sleeve length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 23" | 24.5" | 18" | 25" |
| M | 25" | 25.5" | 18.5" | 25.5" |
| L | 27" | 26.5" | 19" | 26" |
| XL | 29" | 27.5" | 19.5" | 26.5" |
| 2XL | 31" | 28.5" | 20" | 27" |
| 3XL | 33" | 29.5" | 20.5" | 27.5" |
How we measure. Chest — armhole seam to armhole seam, 1" below the armhole. Body length — high point of the shoulder straight down to the hem. Shoulder — seam to seam across the back. Sleeve length — shoulder seam to cuff edge.
Between sizes? It's a short jacket, sitting at the top of the hip rather than covering the seat. The layering room is in the armhole and the sleeve, not the chest — take your usual size.
Care. Remove the badge before washing. Tumble dry low to bring the loft back — this is the one thing we make where that's the instruction rather than the warning.
Forged by British seas.
