THE FISHER — SUBMARINER ROLL NECK
Washed Black · Olive

The jumper that goes under everything else.

A submariner roll neck in 100% merino — the shape Royal Navy crews wore under oilskins, because a collar that stands up is the difference between warm and not when the wind finds your neck.

Knitted at a dense 5-gauge so it has real weight in the hand, then lightly garment washed. The yarn is a black and charcoal mélange rather than a flat jet black, so the wash brings out a faded, tonal depth instead of a dead surface. It looks like a jumper that's already been worn on a boat.

Large structured collar, ribbed cuffs and hem, and a clean body. One small tonal woven trident on the cuff, and nothing else.

Cut lean so it goes under the Rannoch or the Fife without fighting them.

SIZE GUIDE

These are garment measurements, not body measurements — the piece laid flat, in inches. Same block as the Coll crewneck, so if you have one, take the same size.

Size Chest, pit to pit Body length Sleeve length Shoulder
S 21.5" 26" 24.5" 17.5"
M 23.5" 27" 25" 18"
L 25.5" 28" 25.5" 18.5"
XL 27.5" 29" 26" 19"
2XL 29.5" 30" 26.5" 19.5"
3XL 31.5" 31" 27" 20"

How we measure. Chest — armhole seam to armhole seam, 1" below the armhole. Body length — high point of the shoulder straight down to the hem edge, hem rib included, collar excluded. Sleeve length — shoulder seam to cuff edge. Shoulder — seam to seam across the back.

Between sizes? It's cut to layer under a jacket, so it runs lean on purpose. Size up if you'd rather wear it on its own.

Care. Hand wash cold or wool cycle. Dry flat. It's wool, and it's been washed once already — treat it like it matters.

Forged by British seas.
