A proper short in a proper cloth. Nothing technical about it.

Fine-wale corduroy, rigid rather than stretch, so it holds its shape and wears in rather than out. Button and zip fly like a trouser, not an elasticated waist like a swim short.

Cut with a carrot taper — room through the thigh, narrowing clean to the hem, so it sits properly when you're stood up and doesn't ride when you sit down. Ecru woven patch, the one detail on it.

For hot days that don't involve the sea.

SIZING

Sized on the waist in inches. The cloth is rigid, so unlike the Cord Trouser there is no give in the waistband — take your usual waist size rather than sizing down.
