WHY WE CHOSE POM FOR OUR CORD LOCKS

Sometimes the smallest components make the biggest difference.

When developing Greybank products, we don't just think about fabrics and waterproof membranes. We look at every detail, right down to the cord locks.

After researching different engineering plastics, we chose POM (Polyoxymethylene), also known as Acetal or Delrin.

It's the same material trusted by some of the world's leading hardware manufacturers because it offers exceptional durability in demanding conditions.

Why POM?

• Extremely strong and impact resistant.
• Excellent wear resistance for years of repeated use.
• Doesn't absorb water, making it ideal for coastal environments.
• Performs reliably from around -40°C to over 100°C.
• Naturally self-lubricating, keeping the spring mechanism smooth over time.
• Crisp moulding, allowing our Trident G logo to be reproduced cleanly.

POM is also used throughout the outdoor industry by brands using premium hardware from companies such as Duraflex, Woojin and ITW Nexus.

To most people, it's just a cord lock.

To us, it's another opportunity to build something properly.
