THE MAKING OF THE RANNOCH - PART 1

PART 1 — EVERY PRODUCT STARTS WITH A PROBLEM
Every Greybank product begins the same way.
Not with a finished design, but with a question.
For The Rannoch, the question was simple:
What would the ideal British coastal parka look like if we built it from scratch?
I wasn't interested in following trends or copying another brand. The goal was to create something understated, dependable and genuinely useful—equally at home walking through Whitby harbour, travelling to work or standing on an exposed headland in bad weather.
From the beginning, I knew what mattered.
A clean silhouette.
Purposeful pockets.
Technical fabrics where they offered a real advantage.
No unnecessary details.
Every feature had to earn its place.
The image here is where that journey began. The first concept with AI. The starting point for what would eventually become The Rannoch.
Over the coming weeks, we'll share the decisions, revisions and prototypes that shaped the finished jacket.
Because great products rarely happen in a single sketch.
They evolve.
